The Buddy Walk® program was established to promote acceptance and inclusion of people with Down syndrome and to celebrate Down Syndrome Awareness Month in October. The Buddy Walk is an opportunity for anyone and everyone to walk — or support a walker — and raise funds for the Down Syndrome Association of the Lowcountry and the National Down Syndrome Society.
Registration is only $10 if you register in advance! Registration will be $15 on Buddy Walk Day. Registration includes a Buddy Walk t-shirt, lunch, and all of the day’s activities. There will be an event stage with live music, jump castles, carnival games, face painting, dancing and much more!
Sign up to volunteer and get a discount of your registration cost!
Individuals with Down syndrome must register to receive their shirt and wrist band but are free of charge. Participants under the age of 3 are free but must pay to register if they would like to receive a shirt. Activity wrist bands for kids 2 and under available at registration. All registrants will receive a wrist band for event access.
