David Weekley Homes Named 2013 Builder of the Year

January 3, 2014

Congratulations to David Weekley Homes, a longtime builder on Daniel Island, for being recognized by Professional Builder magazine as its 2013 Builder of the Year. David Weekley is the 48th builder to be honored with this award from the homebuilding industry’s top business publication. They’re also only the second two-time recipient — the company was also named Builder of the Year in 1990.

The Builder of the Year award honors innovative homebuilders whose ideas and business results over a period of time represent the best in home building. The winning firm is selected by Professional Builder’s editors, with input from select industry executives. Weekley’s business operations are highlighted in the December 2013 issue of Professional Builder, and its executive team will be honored during an awards dinner at the International Builders’ Show in Las Vegas on February 3.

“David Weekley Homes exemplifies the best attributes of builders everywhere,” says Patrick O’Toole, editorial director and publisher of Professional Builder. “For a big company, the nation’s 17th largest by volume, it remains very responsive to its customers. We feel it has nurtured a culture of hard work and generosity that will keep it on its current trajectory for many years.”

David Weekley first started building homes on Daniel Island in 1997, and they continue to add homes to our newest neighborhoods. We’re happy to have them here!
