Free Mardi Gras Celebration is Set5-8pm,Tuesday, March 5th on Daniel Island outside of Agaves Cantina.We’re celebrating Fat Tuesday with a fantabulous Mardi Gras Celebration.Be a part of the sidewalk parade kicking off at Black Tie Music Academy (BTMA) and marching down to Agaves Cantina and party with the V Tones band of Charleston and BTMA’s Kabuki Love Machine Band.Enjoy food and drink specials offered by area restaurants that coincide with the event!This event is free.

5:00pm Parade Kicks Off and marches to Agaves Cantina. This is an easy low impact sidewalk march that lasts about 10 minutes.
5:00-7:00pm The V Tones of Charleston delight your senses with Charleston’s only ukulele hot club jug, vaudeville, ragtime, neo-retro-postpostmodern, beachfront quasi-primitive anachronistic revolutionary anti-inflammatory mass catharsis jazz, freakout and philharmonic group therapy session band.
7:15-8:00pm BTMA’s Kabuki Love Machine Band takes the stage. Rock out with impressive local adults whose day jobs include attorney, fitness scientist, software engineer, marketing guru, doctor, insurance sales, business executive, mother, father and IT professionals. This is classic rock at it’s finest!
WHAT kind of fun will there be?Stiltwalker, fire spinner, jugglers, face painting, henna tattoos, led hula hoops, artists and more. The goal is to have a few hours of good clean fun for all ages while expressing your individuality.
WHAT should you do?Dress up!Wear a costume, get decked out in your favorite tutu and cape, put lights on your football helmet, don some butterfly wings, polish off that old tuba … whatever way you want to express yourself, in a fun family friendly way, goes!
