The Friends of the Daniel Island Library will sponsor their annual fundraiser, the 11th Annual Daniel Island Harvest Tour of Homes.
The Harvest Home Tour again features four varied homes. The first home is a beautiful example of classic coastal architecture with order, balance and harmony splayed over a beautiful golf course setting. The second is an elegant family home with noted Charleston landscape architect, Robert Chestnut designed gardens. Double story porches create an appealing welcome to a home that celebrates the homeowners’ world travels. See penthouse luxury with cosmopolitan flair on Daniel Island. The design aesthetics combined with premium location for pond and marsh views makes for a unique dwelling. Homes can be visited in any order and a map is provided with each ticket.
Each home also hosts a local author who will be signing copies of their books. This year Nicole Seitz presents “Our Prince of Scribes: Writers Remember Pat Conroy”. We also have Le Cordon Bleu Paris-trained Chef Holly Herrick, and her newest cookbook “The New Charleston Chef’s Table: Extraordinary Recipes From the Heart of the Old South”. Our Daniel Island neighbor, Carol Guthrie Heilman gives seniors a voice in The Adventures of Agnes Hopper Series’ latest book “Agnes Hopper Bets On Murder”. And welcome Alex Lindstrom of Garden & Gun presenting “S is for Southern: A Guide to the South, From Absinthe to Zydeco” by the Editors of Garden & Gun with David DiBenedetto.
Tickets are $25 each, if purchased in advance, payable in cash or check at these locations: Island Expressions and Egan’s Spirits on Daniel Island. Only 400 tickets are sold for this event, ensuring the homes are not over crowded.
Any remaining tickets will be available the day of the tour for $30 at the Daniel Island Library, 2301 Daniel Island Dr. All proceeds of the Harvest Tour of Homes remain on the Island to enhance the Daniel Island Library and its resources.
