“What I Love About Daniel Island” Kids Banner Contest AND THE WINNERS ARE…
In October 2018, the Daniel Island POA office launched the “What I Love About Daniel Island” Kids Banner Contest for grades K-5. We wanted to see what kids loved most about living and playing on Daniel Island. Dozens of Daniel Island children got their crayons, markers, and paints and set out to each create their own childlike and sentimental masterpiece.
We were delighted with all of the entries that we received and considered them all unique and it was evident that the kids clearly understood and followed the contest guidelines. We are so proud of them all and will be displaying them at the POA office over the next several weeks for anyone who would like to see first hand the creativity that these talented Daniel Island youth possess.
Ten winning designs were chosen from the entries which best interpreted the theme of the contest with originality, vibrancy of colors, imaginative design, and that could be reproduced easily on the vinyl banners. The winning entries were submitted by:
- Teddy James, Age 6
- Liv Karsh, Age 8
- Marshall Love, Age 8
- Lucia del Valle, Age 11
- Matthew Jones, Age 8
- Hudson Morris, Age 8
- Cole Tonon, Age 7
- Meadow del Valle, Age 6
- Hope McLure, Age 9
- Ann Ballard Love, Age 11
Congratulations and thank you to ALL who submitted! You did a fantastic job.
Look out for these colorful, original and imaginative new lamppost banners which will be exhibited in the heart of Daniel Island, along Seven Farms Drive coming soon!
