Daniel Island has once again been named among the “50 Best Master-Planned Communities in the U.S.” by Where to Retire magazine. Published every other year, the comprehensive list is compiled following careful investigation by editorial staff, who pay particular attention to each community’s access to opportunities for healthy living, social and community groups and diverse recreational amenities. We wholeheartedly believe that you will be hard pressed to find a more active and friendly community to retire to, and are thrilled that Daniel Island is once again being recognized on this list!
Sales of single-family homes on Daniel Island in the first half of this year totaled $96.9 million, up 26% compared to the same period in 2014. Overall, the average selling price for a single-family home on the island is up 14%, bringing prices back to 2006 levels. Meanwhile, interest in island homesites is notable: The first offering of homesites in Ralston Grove and Nobel’s Point, two brand new Daniel Island Park neighborhoods that were recently introduced, have already sold out.
For the third year in a row, Travel + Leisure readers have voted Charleston the “Top City in the U.S. and Canada”. Just as impressive, the city was also once again picked as the second best in the world! We may be biased, but we certainly agree. Every day we feel fortunate to live in a city so well loved by residents and visitors.
