Meet February’s Top Dog – Chance
We are having so much fun seeing how dogs are digging life in Charleston’s island town via the Dogs of Daniel Island Photo Contest! February was another month of tough choices, but we put the finalists to a vote on Facebook, and based on your votes, a winner has emerged!
We are excited to announce Golden Retriever Chance as the winner of February’s Dogs of Daniel Island photo contest! At nearly six months old, it seems Chance already has the good life figured out, as he lounges on his screened in porch. Still, we wanted to learn more about this Daniel Island pup, so we caught up with his owner, Allison:
Q: How did Chance come to join your family?
A: Chance joined our family after the loss of our 9 year old Golden Retriever, Jake.
Q: When did Chance come to be a dog of Daniel Island?
A: We picked Chance up November 2016 from the breeder in Greensboro, NC the week after Thanksgiving.
Q: What are some of Chance’s favorite ways to spend time on Daniel Island?
A: Chance loves to take walks around Smythe Lake!
Q: What do you like about having a dog on Daniel Island?
A: It’s a great way to meet people and explore the island!
Q: What is Chance’s favorite treat, toy or game?
A: Chance loves his Kong toys and his stuffed fox.
Q: Tell us more about your photo submission.
A: We had the back door open one morning and looked out on the screened porch to find Chance lounging and enjoying the nice weather!
Q: What’s the best tip you can give to others when submitting their photos for the Dogs of Daniel Island Photo Contest?
A: Try and capture the personality of your dog in the picture submitted. We love seeing photos all of the happy dogs on Daniel Island!
Q: How will Chance celebrate being February’s Dog of Daniel Island?
A: Chance will celebrate with a new toy and extra treats.
