Holiday Decorating

The Daniel Island governing documents state that the rights of Owners to display religious and holiday symbols, and decorations on the exterior portions of their Units of the kinds normally displayed in residences located in single-family residential neighborhoods shall not be abridged, except that the Association may adopt time, place, and manner restrictions on such displays.

Please keep in mind when displaying holiday decorations that decorations are limited to the homeowners’ property. They shall not be displayed in the right of way (the area between the curb and the sidewalk) blocking sidewalks, driveways or mailboxes and must be removed within 30 days following the occurrence of the applicable holiday.
